When we first purchased our house, the trim paint was peeling pretty badly and the Headwaters crew put in a ton of work scraping and re-sealing the soffits, repainting a complicated breezeway, and really bringing the house back to life. Our painter, Dean, did an exceptional job. Not only was his painting flawless, but his carpentry work was excellent as well. Everything looks so nice and crisp—his attention to detail really shows. He had a coworker who was also great!

We have been in our home for almost 15 years and have made major and minor changes over that time with varying degrees of aggravation. After seeing we needed some TLC for the paint on our home's exterior I reached out to several handymen through Thumbtack, Google and even a personal referral. Many messages were left and not returned and one contractor kept making and canceling appointments, begging for another chance. Bless the algorithm because I saw an Instagram ad for Headwaters Painting after having to ask the contractor to stop contacting me. The woman in the ad felt like a friend talking to me. She promised to show up (gasp) on time and do a great job. I clicked on the ad, filled out the form indicating what I was looking for, and was contacted. We had a pleasant conversation and arranged to have an estimator come out. Jim was on time, lovely, and a good listener. He gave me an estimate and instructions for how to accept the offer when I decided. No pressure. No money paid until the work is completed and accepted by the homeowner. I promptly accepted and KJ, my project coordinator, reached out to ask me to select the paint colors they would need and communicated what the process was going to look like. After Bill at Sherwin Williams found the exact right color for me I was told they would contact me closer to the date they could start but likely the later half of June. To my surprise and delight I was contacted at the end of May, they had an opportunity to complete my project next week if I was available. A few days before painting time Dean came to power wash the house, then on time on the scheduled prep and repair day he came back to sand the trim and replace some rotting wood. One thing I didn't notice until after he had left was how unobtrusive he was. No loud music, cell phone conversations, ladder banging against the house, etc. The windows were open all morning and all I could hear was the tools as they were used. He left no messes behind.
On painting day Dean and James were on time and got right to work prepping and then painting. Unobtrusive again, the windows were open all day and they were pleasant remote company. After our initial walk through explaining what we would like done we received our estimate the next day. We hired Headwaters Painting that day. We did a preliminary walk through with the lead painter and the painting began with a great crew. In a day and a half they were done to our complete satisfaction. Its pricing is fair, its project staff is responsive and efficient in providing a bid, scheduling the job and maintaining constant contact throughout the project. I cannot praise the three members of the painting crew enough. They were considerate, professional, friendly, and went overboard to not disrupt my life as much as possible even though they were painting the entire interior of the house. My experience with Headwaters Painting was great from start to finish. The estimation process with Kiel was clear and easy and I got a detailed estimate with plenty of options to customize the service where I hadn't quite made up my mind. Once I accepted the estimate, I was passed on to a great project manager, KJ, who shared useful details without overwhelming me, and I was able to select a start date that worked well for me. The 90min color consultation was wonderful, and Mary helped me select colors that I am super happy with, and avoid the stress I'd feel doing that without guidance. Days before my project, I took artwork down and cleared some clutter, but Cristian and his crew of painters did the rest. They worked quickly and efficiently, and my entire house got a fresh paint job is just 2 days. They did an excellent job on the painting itself - crips lines and even coats everywhere. As they cleaned up, they helped me put furniture back, and even rehung a coatrack that would have been a nightmare for me to do on my own. KJ was in touch every day that the team was working, and stopped by early on and right at the end to make sure everything was in order.

This is my second time hiring Headwaters Painting and this time was to paint the exterior of my house which was very badly needed. They did an amazing job! They took good care when cleaning the peeling paint off of my old cedar shakes, took care of any foliage and yard around. The best team I have worked with in a long time. The exterior job was small compared to most, but they treated the communication, detail and results like it was the most important project they had that week. Would you like to be listened to and cared for instead of frustrated and stressed during your home improvement project? Please consider Headwaters Painting for your next painting project. We have been in our home for almost 15 years and have made major and minor changes over that time with varying degrees of aggravation. After seeing we needed some TLC for the paint on our home's exterior I reached out to several handymen through Thumbtack, Google and even a personal referral. Many messages were left and not returned and one contractor kept making and canceling appointments, begging for another chance. Bless the algorithm because I saw an Instagram ad for Headwaters Painting after having to ask the contractor to stop contacting me. The woman in the ad felt like a friend talking to me. She promised to show up (gasp) on time and do a great job. I clicked on the ad, filled out the form indicating what I was looking for, and was contacted. We had a pleasant conversation and arranged to have an estimator come out. Jim was on time, lovely, and a good listener. He gave me an estimate and instructions for how to accept the offer when I decided. No pressure. No money paid until the work is completed and accepted by the homeowner. I promptly accepted and KJ, my project coordinator, reached out to ask me to select the paint colors they would need and communicated what the process was going to look like. After Bill at Sherwin Williams found the exact right color for me I was told they would contact me closer to the date they could start but likely the later half of June. To my surprise and delight I was contacted at the end of May, they had an opportunity to complete my project next week if I was available. A few days before painting time Dean came to power wash the house, then on time on the scheduled prep and repair day he came back to sand the trim and replace some rotting wood. One thing I didn't notice until after he had left was how unobtrusive he was. No loud music, cell phone conversations, ladder banging against the house, etc. The windows were open all morning and all I could hear was the tools as they were used. He left no messes behind.
On painting day Dean and James were on time and got right to work prepping and then painting. Unobtrusive again, the windows were open all day and they were pleasant remote company. They wrapped up and KJ came to review the work with me and could tell how pleased I was with the experience and asked me to leave a review. With pleasure KJ! I smiled as I wrote out the check this morning and hope my next project goes half as well as this one did.

And finally to Cristian & his crew who handled the day to day work, (board & batten & painting). The issues were minor & were handled immediately ensuring the finished product was as we had hoped. What an interesting experience. We have always painted our own rooms, but getting up in age we decided to hire Headwaters Painting. After our initial walk through explaining what we would like done we received our estimate the next day. We hired Headwaters Painting that day. We did a preliminary walk through with the lead painter and the painting began with a great crew. In a day and a half they were done to our complete satisfaction. I would recommend this group and will definitely use them again.

My experience with Headwaters Painting was great from start to finish. The estimation process with Kiel was clear and easy and I got a detailed estimate with plenty of options to customize the service where I hadn't quite made up my mind. Once I accepted the estimate, I was passed on to a great project manager, KJ, who shared useful details without overwhelming me, and I was able to select a start date that worked well for me. The 90min color consultation was wonderful, and Mary helped me select colors that I am super happy with, and avoid the stress I'd feel doing that without guidance. Days before my project, I took artwork down and cleared some clutter, but Cristian and his crew of painters did the rest. They worked quickly and efficiently, and my entire house got a fresh paint job is just 2 days. They did an excellent job on the painting itself - crips lines and even coats everywhere. As they cleaned up, they helped me put furniture back, and even rehung a coatrack that would have been a nightmare for me to do on my own. KJ was in touch every day that the team was working, and stopped by early on and right at the end to make sure everything was in order.

We hired Headwaters Painting to paint the exterior of our wood-shingled house and garage. The existing paint was 10yrs old and had received a lot of sun exposure so it was peeling in many areas. Headwaters did a fantastic job scraping and prepping the shingles to ensure a pristine finish. They also referred us to a contractor to help with some minor repairs we needed on the garage siding in advance of painting. They were incredibly flexible in coordinating the schedules so both projects could get done in just a couple weeks - even with all the rain we got this summer. Communication was excellent! KJ and Cristian were great teammates and gave me regular updates on status and timing. I would absolutely work with them again.

We do. Our Contract entails what to expect from both parties involved and is attached with every estimate we provide. When you accept the Estimate, you Agree to the Contract.
We give our clients an option to send over the colors they have chosen on their own (before beginning the project), or they can opt-in for an in-home color consultation with our professional designer. Upon accepting your estimate, she will reach out to you to schedule an onsite consultation, will have all your project info on hand, and strives to help you pick that perfect color for your project! Ensuring a quality paint job means ensuring you love your colors!
We ask that payment please be made in full upon the final walkthrough, and given to your project manager. Cash, or Checks made out to Headwaters Painting LLC are accepted. We also accept Credit Card payments (clients agree to pay a 2.5% service fee).
This can vary depending on your project! Rest assured, we always send out a Pre-Project Checklist which entails what to expect when we are working in or around your home, and what we may need from you before our arrival. One thing we always appreciate is a safe and clean jobsite for our crew, but our goal is to make sure the process is easy and comfortable for you!
This will vary from project to project and weather may play a factor during the Exterior season. We provide (and strive to meet) an estimated completion date for your project! The completion date is based on the amount of labor and original scope of work.
You don’t! Although we strive to complete a walkthrough with our clients before beginning, we understand this isnt always possible. We always make sure we are organized and prepared for your project before beginning. We can start, operate, and complete your project while you’re on vacation, living across the country, or just going about your busy schedule!
We pride ourselves on thorough communication and expectations so you can stress less and enjoy your valuable time! We are thrilled to have a Project Manager assigned to every job who will be your point of contact at the beginning of and for the duration of your project. Their goal is to ensure that you have a great experience by providing consistent updates, checking quality standards, and answering any questions you may have. You’ll never be kept in the dark about your project!
Headwaters Painting is a member of the PCA (Painting Contractors Association) and follows all proper work protocol and craftsmanship per industry standards, along with using only quality products! However, if there is a failure due to a defective product or improper application we have a 3 year Warranty that covers both materials and labor!
We typically use high quality products from Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore and do not use paint provided by a client as this may have an effect on quality or application, and will not be covered by our warranty.
Minor touch ups can be inevitable and are easy for us to do after a project is completed! We make sure we get back as quickly and briefly as possible to ease any concern!
