Our Story
Before he was the founder of Minnesota’s best painting company, Ryan Turry always knew he wanted to start his own business.
Ryan graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Housing Studies with a concentration in Finance and Management. He initially pursued flipping houses but found it wasn’t a good fit and ended up working in the corporate world as a Financial Advisor and Investment Consultant. After much contemplation and prayer, Ryan decided to start his own painting business based on his love for painting and frustration with working with contractors while flipping houses. With the support of his wife, Danie, he quit his desk job and established Headwaters Painting as his full-time business in 2015. Ryan quickly learned through education and connecting with other industry leaders. Danie joined forces with him in 2017 to manage administration and HR duties.
Ryan and Danie are proud MN natives who enjoy spending time with their family and exploring their neighborhood. They love to travel and enjoy the lakes by fishing and boating in their free time. Despite the hard work and setbacks that come with starting and running a business, Ryan is passionate about bringing life to the interior and exterior of people’s homes and enjoys meeting new people. Danie is thrilled to be part of the team and enjoys the freedom and creativity that comes with working with her husband.
